Aftrer straight work 9 days, felt exhausted.
Luckily got days off with Scott, so we went camping again. hehe
This time we have 3 days and brought Max and Tank with us too.
That means we couldn't in the National Park and couldn't go too far if we wanna relax.
Scott always has plans in his mind. Just I never know and there is no clues to guess.
We passed Corroboree where we got some alcohol supply and we turned to the dirt road.
Through Margaret River Crossing where we heard baby crocs last wet season and we couldn't pass at that time.
Also through Adelaide River Crossing where we stopped to try fishing for a while. hehe
Not even a bite though. lol
Adelaide River Crossing
We stopped for fishing.
The water looks croc-friendly. Be careful!! 看起來藏了很多鱷魚的河 小心啊啊啊啊
Keep going and we were back to Stuart High Way.
Toward to South and we were on the dirt road again. haha
Seems like a place I hadn't been to before.
Looks interesting and the sign says it's a buffalo active region.
I always say the signs in Australia is kind of magic.
You never know what wildlife you can expect to see until you see the sign and you will feel ridiculous then next second you will believe the sign is real and very accurate.
Like last time we went to Arnhem Land.
We saw a sign "croc crossing" at a very dry section and just a part of path.
You would feel the sign is ridiculous, but next second we saw the foot print of croc crossing and we realized beach is on our left hand side and there is a billabong on our right hand side.
At that night, we did see croc crossed the road.
So again, after the sign, we spotted 2 buffalo in the bush.
Trust signs. There is always a reason why they are there.
We followed Scott's memory to find the tracks, and it was 4 or 5 years ago.
He has only been there onece and he didn't drive last time.
Quite challenging, isn't it?
After we explored few interesting tracks, we found it.
I was "wwoww wowowow".
I couldn't believe that is a beach where can park 10+ cars.
And the water isn't just a waterhole, it's a whole river instead.
Of course we had to doubt if the water is safe.
We saw plenty Merten's Water Monitor swimming and screened the water at the first day and night.
Apparently, someone camped near the beach and played in the water before us too.
We decided to trust this water. hehe
Another awesome thing is we owned all beach by ourselves for the whole trip.
It's not easy to find a place where is perfect with water, spacious beach, allow to have dog, and not need to share with others.
Normally people is everywhere this time of a year - dry season.
We enjoyed sunset on the beach.
Scott enjoyed his toy. lol
We parked on the beach and tent set up.
My little work on the beach.
How amazing the place is!!
The second day.
We slept in.
Had a cuppa coffee.
Scott cooked jaffles in the fire with juice as brunch for us.
We appreciated that!!
The main plan for today is hiking to the gorges.
We brought water, wore proper shoes, carried my noodle, and set off.
Along the river bank, we headed to the upstream.
It was just beautiful, plus sand was hot though. lol
Finally we were able to see the gorges just in front of us.
Looking upon the rocks between the gorges, it's just spectacular.
Hearing the sounds of water against the rocks, it gives a gasp of surprise.
We jumped in and enjoyed swimming in the water for a while.
Max explored the gorges as far as he could.
In the meantime, we stayed with Tank and lay on the rocks as he doesn't like water much.
We were wating for Max as always.
The gorgeous gorges.
Walking along the sandy hotty river bank.
About to head back.
Bush knowledge time.
Scott showed us the tea tree and squeezed it to smell the nature tea tree oil.
We all put the leaves on our hats that we could smell the nice smell on the way back. lol
Sand was so hot that Tank dipped his feet into the water on purpose and avoided rocks as much as he could.
Without notice, we were in the campsite.
As we were hot and sweating, we dipped into the water again. haha
Scott even moved the chair in the water.
That was so nice to stay in the water and watch bird drinking water.
Suddenly, I felt so sleepy that hidding in my hammock and fell asleep.
Heard them gone and back, gone and back.
Thought I was dreaming, then I found they dragged a hugh log back by patrol.
Two crazy men!!
It wouldn't be an issue to let the log keep going in the fire in few days, but that was the last night we would stay there.
I think the next person will appreciate them. haha
After they collected the fire wood, they sat down and chatted near the patrol.
Maybe the fire was too hot to sit too close to it. lol
They found me awake.
I had some milk in my hand to wake me up.
Could be working too hard, they felt like an afternoon snack - sausages.
And they have different opinions about how to cook sausages.
They decided they both cooked sausages in their own ways and competed of course.
Lucky me. My job was eatting and judging. hehe
The most important thing is we all had fun in the arvo.
Hammock time. Nap time.
Someone left a "hanger" for me. lol
Dragged the huge log.
Sausage competition.
How far they were from the fire. haha
Me just woke up with my lazy boy.
Our tea tree leaves hats.
I enjoyed the time out of house and work.
Just relaxing and been lazy with family and friend.
We didn't do much, but we did get some energy back which let us keep on and look forward to next break.
Hope you enjoy with us too.
Last photo as a bonus. hehe
On the way out, we saw this native kapok fruit.
